Gardening Season Time To Get Started

Gardening Season is upon us soon and I’m itching to get started. Getting me some potting soil today and starting my seeds. I have more seeds to plant this year than ever before. Because I’m increasing my vegetable start program. What I mean by that is I will have more vegetable starts for sale this year than any other year. I’m concentrating on my vegetable starts this year because it a fast easy way to make some serious cash. It may only be a dollar or two at a time but I use this method to sell lots of other plants unrelated to vegetable plants. For instance I sell bamboo plants so when people come to buy bamboo I also offer them my vegetable starts and 90% of the time they buy, buy, buy. I also sell water plants, trees and other perennials. This gives me even more opportunities to sell the little veggie plants. here is another way I will be selling my vegetable starts  www.amazon.com/shops/A13JAQNPXDNX at my new Amazon Store.

Gardening Season The More You Grow The More You Know

In my opinion experience is the best teacher. I mean don’t get me wrong research is another great teacher. But I mean I learn more by doing. Hands on experience has no match. When it comes to gardening season I try to grow every different kind of plant that I can. Even some that won’t make it through the winter. Like elephant ears they must be dug up or you will more than likely lose them. They will only grow during gardening season in Zone 6 unless you have them in a heated greenhouse.

Gardening Bamboo

When I started growing bamboo I knew nothing about the plant. Now I know more than I ever even thought I could. It’s crazy but I actually understand this plant that is so misunderstood. I get it I really do. And if you grow it you probably understand the same things I do about this magnificent plant. I believe the plant was put here by God for us to use for building purposes and manufacturing purposes. I mean really I believe it is the perfect plant. It has an unlimited number of uses. It is a renewable resource and will replenish itself every year provided that it is maintained properly. It can make anything from clothing to computers. Now what other plant or material can do that. Get your gardening season off to a great start by planting some bamboo this year. You can get it right here on this site and have it shipped right to your door.

Gardening  Season: Bamboo Would Benefit Everyone If We All Grew It

Other than plastic which is man-made. And harmful to the environment. bamboo actually helps the environment. Take yourself back about  20 years or more and see how many products were being made from plastic and are now being made with organic materials like bamboo. Organic materials in a landfill become dirt. Plastics never go away and continue to weep poisonous chemicals back into our soil rendering it useless. I mean think about it! If we could eliminate the need for plastics by using bamboo to replace it our landfills would become giant piles of use-able soils. Instead of great big heaps of poisonous trash. that never goes away. With all  the products being made from bamboo there is no way the supply can keep up with the demand. This puts us all in a great place to benefit from growing bamboo. Plus just the things I use it for around the house benefits me everyday and every year. Once you understand the plant and how it grows it is easy to contain. Because it grows new canes every year the older canes which are the strongest canes can be cut for use to make products. Leaving the new canes to age and get their strength. A bamboo canes is strongest in its 5th year of growth. And I mean strong.  But, don’t get me wrong there are some very weak bamboo as well. These grow to enormous sizes but the wood quality is terrible. They are mostly grown for  their size and beauty. If you grow bamboo and maintain it you can profit from it. I hope you have learned something here today. Unfortunately, I’ve gotta go gardening season is right around the corner and I’ve got a lot to do.

Thank You

Growing Greenhouse Tomatoes How

How To Grow Greenhouse Tomatoes

Growing greenhouse tomatoes is easy to do. Because in a greenhouse you control a lot of the factors that you cannot outside. Watering, weather, humidity, fertilizer, light and ph of the soil. These are all the things needed in growing greenhouse tomatoes. And when you can control these factors you can achieve greatness. Gardening, particularly growing greenhouse tomatoes is better than growing outside because you have a lot longer growing season inside the greenhouse.

Growing Greenhouse Tomatoes

Greenhouse

Inside my greenhouse I feel like I have power over the plants and can make them do what I want them to do. Because if they need more light I can give it to them. If they need more water I can give it to them. And if they need more heat or fertilizer I can give that to them, too. It feels good to be able to control these factors because it helps you learn and grow.

Growing Greenhouse Tomatoes In The Fall

If you have a greenhouse then you know how your seasons are longer in there. I can start growing greenhouse tomatoes sooner than I can outdoors. I can also keep the plants and produce growing all the way up to December 31. I have done it now 3 years in a row. Eating ripe tomatoes around Christmas is nice. I used to be narrow-minded about growing greenhouse tomatoes but after a little practice they taste as good as the ones grown outdoors. I also provide the new seedlings with bottom heat to get them off to a great start.

Trying New Methods Of Growing Greenhouse Tomatoes

Growing greenhouse tomatoes is fun and easy. If you have a greenhouse I suggest you try it. Tomatoes, cucumbers, and green bell peppers all do well inside a greenhouse. Well with the longer seasons you can learn how to lengthen you producing times or stagger your planting times to have two good seasons of growth. I try to do both. This year I’m going to do it even different from I did last year and stack growing boxes 3 to 4 ft above my in ground beds. To keep my plants shorter and up my production. I believe it will make a big difference in production but we will see. I will keep you updated.

Winter Weather Slow Down

The winter weather is here and for us gardeners is it a major set back. If you’ve ordered plants from us please be patient. We haven’t forgotten about you. We are under snow and ice right now and getting hammered on a daily basis. So as you can see we are under stress and we promise your order will be filled to your satisfaction. Those of you having to wait will be compensated with extra plants. And we will do our very best to make sure each and every customer is completely satisfied to the best of our ability. Again we apologize for the inconvenience we have caused. We also offer a money back guarantee with no questions asked.

Winter Weather Can Be Tough On Plants

Winter Weather

Another reason we cannot ship right now because the temperatures are cold enough to freeze you plants during shipment. If the plant freezes it may die. More than likely it will die. Then you will be unhappy and so will I. If you are patient I can promise great plants and more than you paid for at my loss and your gain. We appreciate every customer. We want your business. And we will do our best to keep it. During normal winter weather we would be shipping all year-long. But when the temps dip down so low. the plants will freeze on a shipping dock. So for that reason temps need to be normal(above freezing) winter weather before I will ship the plants. And they need to sustain for at least 3 days for shipping times.

Gabelman’s Gardens Offers A Full Refund

If for any reason you are not satisfied Gabelman’s Gardens will give you a full refund including shipping. Just call (859)635-0922 and I will refund your money.
